The most scenic section — with a toboggan slide descent
Mutianyu is the most scenic and foreigner-friendly section of the Great Wall, 90km north of Beijing. Built in 1368 during the Ming dynasty, it stretches 2.25km with 22 watchtowers. The famous toboggan slide descent has been viewed tens of millions of times on YouTube and is the #1 reason travelers choose this section over Badaling.
The toboggan slide is one of the most-shared China clips on YouTube — filmed by Yes Theory, Fearless and Far, World of Wanderlust
