⭐⭐⭐ · ¥268–398/person
The Tang Dynasty Show is Xi'an's premier cultural dinner show — a 100-minute performance of Tang dynasty music, dance, and acrobatics accompanied by a banquet of Tang-style cuisine. The show recreates the entertainment that would have been presented at the Tang emperor's court and has been running since 1988. It's explicitly touristy but well-produced and popular with foreign visitors.
['Book ahead — shows often sell out', 'The ¥268 standard ticket includes dinner; the VIP seats closer to the stage are worth upgrading for', "The dinner is ceremonial rather than a great meal — eat a snack before if you're very hungry", 'Photos are permitted during most of the show']
A staple of Xi'an travel vlogs — the costume and production quality make for excellent video content
