Three restored Qing-dynasty alleyways — Chengdu's most photogenic historic district
Kuanzhai Alley consists of three parallel restored Qing-dynasty alleyways — Wide Alley (Kuan Xiang), Narrow Alley (Zhai Xiang), and Well Alley (Jing Xiang) — each with a different character. The complex of traditional courtyard architecture has been converted into restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and teahouses. It's the most photogenic historic area in Chengdu and the most popular with both domestic and international visitors.
The courtyard architecture and street atmosphere are heavily featured in Chengdu travel photography and vlogs
