A 1,370-year-old Tang dynasty pagoda — and Asia's largest musical fountain show
The Big Wild Goose Pagoda was built in 652 AD to house Buddhist scriptures brought from India by the monk Xuanzang — whose journey inspired the classic novel Journey to the West. The 64-meter Tang dynasty pagoda is one of the best-preserved examples of early Chinese Buddhist architecture. The surrounding North Square holds Asia's largest musical fountain, with shows every night.
The night fountain show is one of the most filmed spectacles in Xi'an — spectacular light and water choreography
